Map with links

I have been asked if we are able to place a map on our District 35 website which would have links to the Divisions when clicked. Is this possible?

You would have to build it by hand, using google maps and a lot of geo coding.

Thanks Brian -- it would be a pretty cool thing, I'll just have to see if I have enough time to add in a project of that complexity. By the way, thanks for your responses to Cindy Laatsch this past Sunday as we met about our website. Very helpful -- I'm a novice at Free Toast Host and we're all kind of working our way through things.

Thanks again -- Barb

I would use a different approach than Brian, involving a specialized HTML technique called an image map.

An image map allows you to designate clickable areas on an image in the shape of a circle, rectangle or a polygon.

For you, you could just convert a google map to an image (e.g. via screen capture or other approach) and use one of the many online tools to create an image map. Just Google HTML Image Map to find the available online tools.

Hey Barb this tutorial does not exactly answer your question but may open up other useful ideas.

Add custom club pushpins to a Google map then embed the map on a website. Watch this 2-min tutorial.
