Unable to Register Group

I get

No club was found using that club number. Please cancel out of this window and try again. You do need a valid club number to proceed.

when I attempt to register my new toastmasters group with this website.

When you say "new toastmasters group" is your club chartered yet?

If you have paid the fee and have a club number but do not yet have the charter, use the link on that page for Unchartered Clubs so that we can do manual verification and approval of your request.

(Unchartered clubs do not show up on Find a Club, which is where the lookup information comes from.)

I'm not exactly sure what it means to be chartered or when it happens after we receive our group/club number but we have paid all our fees.

I followed the link you suggested and submitted the request as an Unchartered Club. I tried it before but had attempted to open the link in a new tab rather than simply left-clicking so I thought it was borked. Everything's fine now.

You get your club charter once you have gotten 20 members minimum.

Until that time, you can function, but nothing really counts as far as TM is concerned. So getting chartered is kind of important.

Ah, well our group does have 20 people but we are still pretty new so maybe our paperwork hasn't made it through all the necessary plumbing yet. Thanks for your help!
