Email list not working?

Hi All,

I have taken over as the new VPPR and webmaster. To my knowledge we have never gotten the email list function to work on our choptm.org site. As an example, I just sent an email to vppr@ourdomain.org from a personal email, just to see if it would be forwarded to me, but it was not.

We would like to be able to send emails to members@ourdomain.org and have them automatically forwarded to the respective members, but that does not work either. If someone tries to contact us through the site- that DOES work. Is there something I am missing?

Thank you Linda! Within our account, though it is written as members at choptm dot org Is this no longer correct? How would I change this within our account?

Also the officers e-mail list and the individual officers' lists don't seem to work either...

Since the domain namet is what is in our site, that is what we'd like to use, but IDK how.

Your DNS records are not set up correctly for email at your domain name registrar ... that is the problem.

While you do have an MX record, your mail.choptm.org A record does not point to our server's IP address.

Therefore any email you send to a FTH address will go to the black hole of cyperspace.

To fix:

DELETE mail.choptm.org 3599 IN CNAME pop.secureserver.net

ADD mail.choptm.org 3599 IN A 50.19.253.65

Thank you so much Steve! I had a hunch that might be the case. We are going to have to dig around because IDK who our registrar is (it is blank on the ICANN Who-is lookup.) Our Treasurer thinks we might actually be registered through ICANN, but I didn't think they did that directly.

So I'll be on a hunt to figure out how to get this configured correctly. I do appreciate confirmation of the problem!
