My website disappeared

I just renewed my domain name carylinatoastmasters.org at GoDaddy, and almost immediately the site became unreachable. I checked with GoDaddy support, and they showed me that the forwarding address carylinaclub.freetoasthost.org also was unreachable.

Is there a typo in the forwarding address? I find that hard to believe since it worked an hour ago.

How can this be fixed?

DNS settings for www.carylinatoastmasters.org are wrong and www.carylinatoastmasters.org will not be reachable as a result. See: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview

carylinaclub.freetoasthost.org is invalid... freetoasthost.org has not been in use for FTH since FTH 1.x

7672.toastmastersclubs.org works.

Thanks. That worked. Since it was working before, it must have gotten changed but I can't imagine how. On the other hand, I had to switch in my browser to http to get it to work. I was using https before.

If your DNS settings are not set up correctly for your custom domain, your https certificate will not be issued or renewed and you will not be able to use https then. The DNS settings are the first thing checked in the renewal loop. It is required because the certificate authority uses DNS during the authentication/verification process.

When using a custom domain, you have to make sure that your DNS settings are set up per our guidelines if you want to use https.

The toastmastersclubs.org related domains are covered via a separate wildcard certificate, so they will always work.
