It's happening to me also with the latest Firefox. I use email templates, so I didn't notice until I went to remove a paragraph. Using right-click to Cut allowed me to type afterwards. (I imagine Copy would also work.)

It didn't work for me. I simply can't type in the box. My workaround was to type in a Word doc. and then cut and paste into the window.
