Agenda Line Item Can No Longer be Modified

Hello,
I am the administrator for the Club 5280 (GrEAT) website. We are having issues with the agenda line items. To maximize space on our agendas, we eliminate the area that FTH has given us to include speech information. We just include a truncated version on the line where we have the role (Speaker #1, Speaker #2, etc.). Unfortunately, we no longer seem to be able to do that. Anything we add to that role line does not get saved. Are you able to explain or fix this? I am thinking that it might be an unfortunate side effect of changing the template design. If it is, that is fine. I have found a workaround but would rather continue using it in our usual way because the workaround adds an extra line to the agenda.

Any help you can give is appreciated.

Un-check the automatic renumbering near the top of the editor and see if that helps.

I dug into this a bit more...

I looked at your June 14th agenda for a past reference of what you are trying to accomplish. Based on my review of that, it looks like you are using the # sign in multiple places in a single agenda item sometimes which can mess up the automatic renumbering.

However, when I tried entering Speaker #1:abc as an agenda item, with the auto numbering enabled, I did not see a problem. Perhaps you can give me a specific example I can try to see the issue you are pointing to? That would help a lot if there is actually something in the code that needs modified.

For now, like I said before, I would recommend that you not use the automatic renumbering for your agendas unless you are willing to follow some rules for consistency in your agenda items. (e.g., Always use the same terms for Speakers / Evaluators... no abbreviations and do not use the # sign more than once in a single agenda item.)

Thanks for your response, Steve. We at Club #5280 do not use the autonumbering feature. I have attached a picture of how we normally use the Role Title in our agenda along with a picture of how it looks today.

Ok, the picture shows me something I already saw when I reviewed your agendas.

Please give me an example of something I can enter as a role title to see the issue you are pointing to.
