code for a meeting date that will automatically change

hi, i'm the webmaster for club 4858 in Dallas Texas.
I am trying to automate a display on the home page.
What I want to do is add a code/behavior that will allow for our next meeting date to be displayed, and change once a week.
We meet weekly, so I'd like it if the field/form said "join our next meeting August 22"
Then, it stays Aug 22 until August 22, until noon central time on Wednesday when the Aug 22 meeting will be completed.
At noon on Aug 22nd, the script would update to "join our next meeting August 29" and keep going on a weekly basis.

What would that script be called, and how would it look? I know there must already be something that I can copy and paste, without creating a new one. I'm not in the know on what code language, lingo or anything there is to make this a real thing.

I hope this makes sense...any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Seth Parker

If you are using the FTH agendas, we already have that.... I call it a "Web Page Variable". B)

Just look for the Web Page tools drop-down a the upper right of the home page. Look for Web Page Variables on that drop down, and I believe I named the variable {{nextmeetingdate}} or something like that. Plug that into your home page where you want it put, and it will be replaced with the next agenda date in the system on each refresh. It uses the long date format, so whatever you set that date format as, that is what you get.

Hey Thank you!
I'm very thankful I can just drink coffee rather than learning the Java behind that one.
If you are even in Dallas, please visit our club meeting, you are welcome anytime.
