Domain name redirecting to "Request a Website"

Dear FreeToastHost

We’ve been having problems with our domain name since Wednesday 15 August. Two links work as before: cambridge-speakers.org.uk , and 8105.toastmastersclubs.org . However, www.cambridge-speakers.org.uk has started redirecting to “FreeToastHost – Request a Website”.

The DNS entries appear to be configured as instructed at support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview , and I've checked them at www.digwebinterface.com . However, I can’t see any obvious problems. In the FreeToastHost admin console, the custom domain name is set to cambridge-speakers.org.uk. I’ve also cleared my browser cache.

Can’t think what I’m missing. Can you help?

8105.toastmastersclubs.org/ is working correctly.

www.cambridge-speakers.org.uk/ is now working correctly.

What is very likely happening here is that your browser is caching our redirect to the welcome page. You probably got redirected there prior to your custom domain being completely set up, and your browser is just continuing to redirect to the welcome page.

You may not believe this happens, but it actually does... see the following, for example:
www.google.com/search?q=browser+caching+...ceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

SOLUTION: Just clear your browser cache.

Dear Brian

Thank you very much for your reply. It's all working now. However, I can see that the custom domain name in the FreeToastHost admin console has been changed from cambridge-speakers.org.uk to www.cambridge-speakers.org.uk . Can you confirm that's the correct setting, and that the domain name cambridge-speakers.org.uk will continue to work as well?

Kind regards

Chris
