How to send email to a custom group

I created a custom group in Member Management. A message appeared above the tabs saying "Success! Information updated. Continue to edit membership info or close window." I clicked Save, then Close.

I expected to see a new tab appear for that custom group, but that didn't happen. I also don't see a way to send email to this custom group.

What am I missing?

Thanks

mygroup-3963@toastmastersclubs.org should be usable as an email address

(subst your group name in for "mygroup")

So I just use my normal email client rather than creating the email from within FreeToastHost 3?

You can do either. If you create the email from inside your website, then you would use the Select By Group drop-down to pick the people in the group, and then use the Send Basic Email Membership Tool to author and send the email. You can use the created email address when sending from your email client.

Pros and Cons:
Using your email client: You can send attachments, but you cannot use fill-in variables.
Using website (Send Basic Email): You cannot send attachments, but you can use fill-in variables.
