Opt-in Email Clicked no Change on Website

Good day,

According to our new member, Crystal Johnson, she clicked the link in the opt in email that was sent to her. Yesterday, I received a message from her in my email when working in FreeToast Host. I clicked “save” while in member management and her name had a strike through. I logged out yesterday. Today, I logged back in to send her a welcome email. Her name has a strike through. Our club email box did not receive an email confirming Crystal's action (i.e., clicked the link), but, again, she says she clicked the link. Any suggestions or help with this matter is appreciated.

All the best….

One thing to keep in mind is that new members have no idea what email to look for that contains the opt-in link.

The fact that you say you never got a confirmation is a good clue--the code will always send a confirmation as per your settings. Your new member may have clicked a link in some other email that she thought was the opt-in email. I would recommend that you resend her the opt-in email via the menu option for that in membership management. (It is one of the only two actions that you can take with members who have not yet opted-in.)

Thank you. The second email was sent and our club email received the confirmation. The person asserted again that she did click the link in the other one but there must have been a glitch. All the best...
