Domain forward will not go to toastmastersclubs.org subdomain site

We have a freetoasthost site for a while it had a custom url. We have gone back to a regular sub domain address -site.toastmastersclubs.org- I want to redirect the old url to the new address so members can still find the site.

When I do a domain forward it goes to the main domain toastmastersclubs.org but not the subdomain. The full address in in the domain forward -site.toastmastersclubs.org- but lands on the main domain -toastmastersclubs.org- When it put the new site address in the browser it goes to the site not problem.

I did a tracert and got the ip address of the site with the subdomain when I put the ip adress in the address bar it will only go to the main domain.

Can anyone help me figure out why the domain forward will not go to the subdomain website address ?

FTH does not support domain forwarding. If you want the domain to point to your site you need to use the proper domain serup in the documentation on this site.

So a domain pionted to the subdomain site(FTH website) will not connect with the FTH website ? is that correct ?

What you are referring to as "proper domain serup" is the "use custom domain name" ? Do you have any insight into how this makes it possible for a forwarded domain to connect to the subdomain ?
