Please check your club numbers and verify...

6051807.toastmastersclubs.org/ already exists. "Greater Boston PM/BA Toastmasters"
Cannot change a website club number if the target already exists.

If you are taking over a club number that was dying... We will need due diligence to ensure that everything is proper.

Hi Steve,

I checked the email below from Toastmasters.org that was sent to our founding club President and that's what they told us so they must have given us the wrong number: I will have to contact them first to straighten this out.

Hello Jaana,

Thank you for the update, we will be happy to grant an extension until June
30, 2019. If the club does not charter by this date, we would respectfully
ask for an update on the status of the club. Club 5946521 has been removed
from our system and your club should now appear under Find a Club.

If you have any questions with the charter documents, requirements, or any
questions in general; please feel free to contact the New Clubs Team at
newclubs@toastmasters.org. We look forward to hearing from you with any
questions and wish you much success with chartering prospective club 6051807.

Best Regards,

I have the new code purposely set up to detect any kinds of potential conflicts and prevent club number changes in that case.

Even if you deleted your current website and requested a new one for the new number, you would not get a new one because the website for the new number already exists.

Therefore, this issue must be resolved... no workarounds, no shortcuts.

Hi Steve,

Ok, I found out what happened. The site with that new number at 6051807.toastmastersclubs.org/ is abandoned. See emails below from Jaana Pietari and Marie Bancruti. Could you delete the 6051807 site and then change the 5946521 site number?

The club Greater Boston PM/BA Toastmasters club ( 6051807.toastmastersclubs.org/ was also started by Marie Bankuti, who started the Mill and Main Toastmasters (original club number 5946521 and website millandmain.toastmastersclubs.org/ ) club along with me. I believe that the Greater Boston PM/BA Toastmasters club is not meeting anymore. I have copied Marie Bankuti here as well to verify and confirm.

I hope this clarifies the issue here with the club numbers.

Best regards,

That’s correct. Greater Boston PM/BA Toastmasters club is no longer meeting.

Ok, but they still have a listing on Find a Club:

www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/0605180...on-pmba-toastmasters

You may see this just as a website thing, but that is not the way we see it. We have actually had issues in the past because two different clubs claimed the same club number.

If your club is now assigned and in control of club number 6051807 as defined by TI WHQ, an officer should be able to log into Club Central and update the club information there such that it is displayed on the Find a Club listing for your club. If you update that, then I will change the club number over... Details on updating this info are at: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/u...s-international-site

(You should be updating this information anyway, as the FreeToastHost system uses it in several instances.)

Sorry to be a pain about this, but I have learned some lessons in the past the hard way. :S
