We changed our club name from Gilcrease Toastmasters to TULSA TALKERS, same club number 1384. If it's true that the original Gilcrease website must be deleted before we can start a NEW Tulsa Talkers website, kindly delete Gilcrease. We registered TulsaTalkers.org at Network Solutions and set it up already. Thank you for deleting GilcreaseToastmasters.org. Peggi Ridgway, Club 1384

As all of the information in our database is tied to a club number, not a club name, you really can just keep the same website and just change it. No need to start over.

Just update either the website alias or the domain name in the basic settings. Make sure you know how to access your website via your club number when you make these changes. Sometimes the way the system works may make it seem like your website disappeared or was deleted when you make these changes... it does not disappear and was not deleted... However, the new access methods are activated immediately after you make the changes. This is why temporarily using the club number access method is useful when you do these updates.

Best way to update the domain name is to delete it in basic settings, save then wait a minute or two before entering the new domain name and saving... Go slooow... the system has to do some work behind the scenes to change security certificates... give it time to do this. If you run into any problems, let us know... we have tools for this. (I created our tools.)
