Hello,
I recently tried to email an announcement to a few of our club's mailing list addresses. I included one as a BCC (which I now know I shouldn't do) and received the following email response from the server:
[FreeToastHost] Message Not Delivered: Triangle Toastmasters Facebook Page Announcement
Your message has a destination club email address (<snip>) that is not part of the To or CC fields and can not be delivered.
Please note: We do not support the use of BCC. If you are sending to an email address on this server using BCC please re-address using To or CC and try again.
Got it, I won't use BCC for the target email address - my only confusion is this:
Was this email was sent to the rest of the addresses in the To and CC fields (not delivered to the problematic address noted), or was the email was not delivered to anyone?
My assumption is that the email wasn't delivered at all, but the response seems a little ambiguous to me and I'd like to avoid sending a duplicate message. A reword like
Your message has not been delivered to any of the original recipients because there is a destination club email address (<snip>) that is not part of the To or CC fields. is a little clearer, though y'all can probably come up with something better
Thanks
Tyler
