Adding new member in Membership Management

I can't seem to add new members. After inputting name, email and phone, I click on Save. It brings up the message about opt-in/out and I say close and then nothing. The new member is still on the first line and did not drop down into the list. I had no problem a month ago when I added a member. And yes, I'm logged in as site administrator. Wine & Dine #2046288

Is the new member in your guests or prospects lists? If so you need to move them using the membership tools dropdown above the list. People can only be on one list.
