Postprandial Toastmasters (3259) - Domain Expired was created by Ray.Mulgrew
Greetings,
Our Club Website is coming up with a Domain Expired on page-load. My understanding is that existing Toastmasters Clubs have a Free Toast Host (FTH) site enabled by default. Can anyone tell us how to get our FTH site Up and Running again? We would greatly prefer to retain historical information.

You can reach your FTH website at any time using your club number.
3259.toastmastersclubs.org/
You also have a club alias set up as postprandialtoastmasters so you can use postprandialtoastmasters.toastmastersclubs.org/
I'd suggest that if you aren't going to renew your domain name you shorten the alias to postprandial, assuming that is available.
Read this documentation on alias vs domain name: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/d...tical-considerations
Make sure to update any links to your site, especially on Club Central

1) Active clubs get a FTH website by request, *not* by default. Your club had to request a FTH website at some time in the past.
2) You do not need a custom domain to use your FTH website. You can access your website *now* by using your club number as follows:
3259.toastmastersclubs.org
3) Some clubs *choose* to get a custom domain to provide a distinctive URL. Those clubs must pay a custom domain registrar to register the domain for use for some period of time. We *do not* do anything with that... we just support the use of a custom domain that a club has already registered and paid for elsewhere. We also provide a free HTTPS cert for those custom domains. (Again, your club must handle the registration and renewals of a custom domain name.)
4) You can get the domain registration details via a WHOIS look up.
5) You can also use a FTH website alias (free) as an alternative.
