I have one member who was not getting email, despite being correctly entered on the membership list. I added his email to the whitelist in Email Security. It initially worked, but now having a problem again. Here is the message as was received by an office when sending to the address. (actual Email disguised for privacy) Also, can you explain "One Advertised SMPT..."?

bob@********.net. appears to be an invalid or non-working recipient email address. (One Advertised SMTP server permanently refused mail.)

SMTP = Simple Mail Transfer Protocol = Email Server :)

Without a club number we cannot check anything.

Apologies! 2207975 is the club number!

Also an add on question. I previously added new member using quick add.. I think some of them did not OPT-IN. But now they are not showing on my list at all! I just re-added them. Is there something that removes them from the distribution if they do not opt-in?

if a person added does not opt-in they are removed by the system the club admin is warned each time they enters the members area with a popup that has to be manually cleared.

This will never work as the officer-nnnnn is only available to club members. You have to use the contact-nnnn once you activate it.

Thanks, did not see the period in the address. The 2K monitor makes things pretty small for old eyes!!!

Thanks for the info. I do not recall seeing the pop-up, but perhaps it was buried under other notices of updates. I don't know if it is possible, but it would be handy to keep the member information that does not OPT-IN in the list as a greyed-out line. I realize it would not be active, but it would help me not think I am crazy for not putting it in in the first place! Thanks for your help!

Keeping peoples information who do not opt-in is against many of the spam and privacy laws.
