Blacklisted from the site I am admin on

I am the admin for the club 3578's website: wordwarriors.toastmastersclubs.org/ . But I get messages from it when I try to email members-3578--two actually. One says I'm blocked, the other says I don't have admin rights.

I am not the only admin so I guess it's possible others have altered settings but all fields were set to default in th Email and Contact Forms (i.e., all blank). I added my email to the white list, but the field went red when I tried to save.

appreciate any help you can give.

Someone in a different club blacklisted you. Since your club uses the crowd-sourced blacklist, it affects your ability to send to your own club.

Add yourself to the Exceptions list in Email and Contact Forms (*not* the Whitelist).

Thank you for your quick reply. I am not able to add my email to the White list. I get an error message saying "Current members cannot be added to the club white list."

Should I uncheck "use Crowd sourced blacklist"?

Do you know how I get off the Crowd sourced black list? It looks like whole domains are on that list--not so useful if someone blacklists "@att.net"!

This is the bargain you make when using the Crowd Sourced Blacklist. You are trusting the instincts of the "crowd" (other Toastmasters Clubs) as to which email addresses to block. I am not in the practice of editing or filtering the Crowd Sourced Blacklist... That would be me going down a "rabbit hole" never to return.

My own advice is that the CS Blacklist is probably useful with smaller clubs or FTH newbies that are not familiar or comfortable managing their own email blacklist. However, larger or more experienced clubs should probably consider shutting it off and just get familiar with managing their own email blacklist so that they are more in control.
