Member name dimmed

For some reason, our president's name is in Membership Management but is dimmed when looking at the list of members in the agenda. It also has a number (24) next to the name in the agenda dropdown, whereas most but not all members have a zero. What does this mean?

This is for Quest 4643.

They marked themselves at not attending.
The (24) is the number of times they have done the role.
