Hi
Our club president is using an e-mail address that has a 'custom domain' : rebeccadaly@rebkdaly.com
The provider of the custom domain turns out to be Rackspace.com
But a few weeks ago she started getting messages that her attempts to send e-mail
to the club officers e-mail list were not fully successful.
The messages (automatic e-mail responses) sh was getting looked like this:
Original Message
From: "Mail Delivery System" <MAILER-DAEMON>
Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2020 3:17pm
To: rebeccadaly@rebkdaly.com
Subject: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender
This is the mail system at host smtp12.relay.ord1c.emailsrvr.com.
I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.
For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.
If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.
The mail system
<officers-930@toastmastersclubs.org>: connect to
mail.toastmastersclubs.org[50.19.253.65]:25: Connection timed out
And, finally, yesterday the FTH software banned her e-mail address. (Actual Notice at bottom of post)
I gather from reading other forum posts that you can (hopefully) reinstate her e-mail address?
But am I correct in thinking that she needs to also reach out to Rackspace and find
out what the problem is at their end? Otherwise this will just happen all over again.
Especially as our e-mail volume increased a lot while we're learning how to meet virtually.
Thanks,
Rob Adamson (Backup Secretary, Backup SAA: Club #930)
