Changing club email address for contacts form

Hi - when prospective members use the contact form the email goes to our old club email address NewcastleTM@hotmail.com.
We have now moved to a gmail account for our club and we there want the contact form email to go to our gmail account. I cannot find anywhere in FTH where our club email has been set up.

I have changed our club email address in Toastmasters International system and TMI FIND a club enquiries go to the gmail account.

Where in FTH can I reset our club email?

The email archive address is in Email and Contact Forms -> Email Settings tab. The settings box is at the bottom of the tab: Club Archive Email Address and the login information box below it.

Thank you Jane. That worked.

Before I entered new address details in these fields they were blank - so I am at a loss to how the contact forms were going to our old email.

Recurring problem on this web site has happened again. I was about to enter new email when site dropped out of admin without me touching keyboard or pad. In doing so the contents of my home page dissappear. However when ever I launch admin I can see all the contents.

This is about 5th time in last 2 months this has happened. I am trying to avoid any edits to this website now for fear of this happening. Ant advice, guidance or black magic would be appreciated.

I set up this FTH site many many years ago and have been maintaining/editing since. This problem is new and giving me concerns about the stability of the FTH platform.

There are a bunch of things wrong with your site

1) Your domain is not setup correctly, it is not pointing to the FTH server. Please follow the documentation
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview

newcastletoastmasters.org.au. 3600 IN A 202.124.241.178
newcastletoastmasters.org.au. 3600 IN MX 20 mx2.netregistry.net.
newcastletoastmasters.org.au. 3600 IN MX 10 mx3.netregistry.net.

2) Your front page has a lot of extraneous formatting, maybe from age and a lot of additions and deletions, or copy paste from MSword, which really doesn't work.

3) have you setup your browser to support cookies as per our documentation?
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/cookie-settings

4) are you using Firefox or chrome? safari and IE and edge are all issues of their own making.

Brian

Greatly appreciate your feedback but I am still concerned that this is a recent issue when nothing of significant has been done this web site for a long time.

Your point 1) - thanks I will check your information and if I can work out what is required correct the issues. However the pass through from Net Registry has worked fine for 4-5 years. Why would it be an issue now?

Your point 2) - true enough. Although no substantial changes for at least 2 years it took a long time to set up the page as t is now ( which successfully attracts visitors to our club ). The reason there have only been minor changes in recent times I have always struggled with the page editor. It does not seem to be a WYSIWYG editor - for me it has always been a Trial and Error editor. Have I missed out on a FTH upgrade?

Your point 3) - have set up my Safari browser as per this instruction and checked it many times

Your point 4) I have tried Google Chrome and get the same problems. Appreciate that FTH is a free service and uses lots of volunteers but MacOs and Safari have a significant place in the market and are a much more stable platform that Windows 10 so I do not plan to change. I will use Chrome to do all FTN work though to eliminate the MacOs/Safari issues.

Thank you again for your feedback - Brian Prior

if you want to use the FTH system we require you setup your custom domain as required or we cannot generate a secure certificate. We don't make those rules we just have to follow them,

I use MAC all day everyday and never use safari because of all the issues it has with various websites.

Contacts for contact setup is populated by pull down, The officers are at the top I selected president from there.
Someone created a dummy member called PRESIDENT with the hotmail address and was using that.
I suggest you remove the dummy member PRESIDENT.
