Merge user (former member added as new member with different email)

We recently had a former member re-join our club after many years. He was added to our club website with a different email address than he previously used. He's now listed under Members and Former Members.

How do I "merge" his two usernames so that all of his meeting history (roles and speeches) are not lost and appear under one user?

There is no merge function.

Delete the new member
Move member from former to active
change email address
Update the agenda where the incorrect member was used
