How to Add Paypal Payment Button

4 years 2 days ago
#85051
9/11/2021 Hello, I created a Paypal button on my clubs P.P. account and then transfered the code onto the freetoasthost club
website. I received a message that "third party codes" can't be used and that it may cause the website to malfunction.
Since I didn't want the club website to disappear, I researched this on here.
However, the info on this topic is from 3 years ago. What is the current way to add a Paypal button?
Thanks, Monica Helsel, Treasurer, Clifton Toastmasters Club #2664

Yes the default PayPal button is a script, there is also a button for Email that can be used and it is not a script.

Where would one obtain the Paypal button for an email that can be added to the freetoasthost club website? I haven't a clue about any of this, I am not a computer programmer. Thanks.

So there are actually two places the button can be added. One is in a web page and the 2nd place is in the dues invoice emails that are sent out from the Dues module. The 2 places use different types of codes, so you need to figure out 1st where you want to put the button. Generally speaking, the codes are obtained from the Paypal website after you have logged into your account. You must get the codes from Paypal because they tend to include some special features for security reasons. Once you have the codes, then they can be inserted in the appropriate place (web page or dues notice, depending on what you decided)

There is a good bit of information on this in the following user doc:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/p...mail-friendly-button

Pay particular attention to the links at the bottom of that doc.
