New Member Email - blank

3 years 9 months ago
#86082
Using Membership Management, I sent a New Member Email to a new member and got a confirmation email that only showed the date and time in the body of the email.  I sent myself a New Member Email and received only date and time in the text.  I also setup a new test member, John Doe, and sent him a New Member Email and received only date and time.
I have verified that there is text in the New Member Email template.
Am I doing something wrong?

I was also trying to learn if/when the New Member Email is still automatically sent out with the Opt-in process or the password set up.  It doesn't look like it.  Is it correct, that we have to manually send out the New Member Email AFTER the member has opted in.
Thank you for your insight here.

The Opt-in process is different to the New Member Welcome
Opt-In would typically first apply to guests and prospects, who would eventually be moved into the members section.  It is only once they have become members that you would send the new member welcome message

I've just sent myself a New Member Welcome - it came through with all of the text as expected.

Try making a temporary change to your message and send it to yourself again - see if that makes any difference.

I have changed and resent the new member email to myself and to test id John Doe.  The text is still blank except for the date/tme, which Ijust noticed is an  old date.  See attached.

To clarify; are you doing this from the Members Tab or the New Member Welcome tab (the one that shows the body of your welcome message)?

On the Members tab I got the same resulting email showing only the date & time using 'Send New Member Welcome' from the Membership tools list. We'll need to further investigate this. Or I need to figure out what I am also doing wrong.

If you haven't yet; please test it from the New Member Welcome tab;

Send Member Welcome Message To:
[your club member drop-down list]
Select member name(s), verify the following message content, then click "Save" below to send.

Thank you, that worked from the New Member tab.  I didn't know you could send it from there.
