"This site can’t be reached" Error

A couple of weeks ago I made a security change in my Chrome browser settings. Yes, I should have noted  down what I changed. Ever since then I have been unable to bring up any FTH website. My club sites are clubs #202 and #1410, but this happens with any FTH club or district site that I try to access. It clocks and clocks and then I get, for example

This site can’t be reached twincity.toastmastersclubs.org took too long to respond.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Connectivity Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

At first I though the system was down temporarily but it is still happening and no one else is know is having this problem. I've been tweaking settings to try and fix whatever I did but to no avail.

Your IP tried to hack FTH server using a wordpress login and the IP was blocked.
FTH does not use wordpress or PHP

I don't know what this means. I am not a hacker. How would this happen? I do not have a WordPress site. I have been visiting lots of TM WordPress sites lately as I checked what other districts were doing for their conference and their officer training.

I see you let me out of FTH jail yesterday as I can get into the sites again. Thank you so much!

Is there anything I should be keeping an eye out for so this doesn't happen again?

do not use any wordpress links to access a FTH site.
