Email recognition problem
3 years 1 week ago
I don't actually know what kind of topic this would be called. I reached out to George Marshall to see if he could help and he suggested I come here.
This is not an operating system problem but an internal system issue in ToastHost, and I hope that some experts here will know what to do.
Several months ago, I was told that emails sent to me from our club website on ToastHost were bouncing back.
It was not clear how long this had been going on and since we mainly communicate within the club on a listserv, we don't send out many club messages from ToastHost.
However, I suspected it may have been because in January I had to change servers and this led some emails systems to misinterpret my emails as spam even though my email address has not changed. Some people were not able to receive messages from me at all — or got bounce-backs when they sent messages to me. Over time I learned ways to manage and correct this so it's not happening much anymore. In ToastHost, we thought it would work to delete me from the membership list and re-add me, but the system wouldn't allow us to do this. Recently I tried again and was able to get my name and email address in -- but the opt-in email doesn't arrive. Email address check shows that my email as a “bad” address, which is not the case.
As a result the only way I can work in ToastHost is to sign in as an admin, so I can work with our agendas and the page, but cannot sign in for roles.
I'm hoping that on the back end you can do some kind of reset so that I can be added back into our club list.
Thanks

It appears that your email provider's data center allows spamming the FTH server and so it is blocked on our server. I am not able to unblock the IP address for your email domain with the tools I have available, so Brian will have to handle that.

You are hosting in a datacenter that spams FTH quite often and the IP of your server was blocked. I have removed the block for now.
You should have received the opt-in email
