Invalid/Non-functioning E-mail No advertised SMTP servers are accepting mail

Hello.  

I have a member who email is not being accepted by FTH with the following message:

"appears to be an invalid or non-working recipient email address. (No advertised SMTP servers are accepting mail.)"
The domain is nickellsilver.ca

I read in an old message that this can mean the server the mail server is hosted on is blocked, but the domain can be added to the white list.

If I am right, can that be done please?  And thanks.
