Login under Your Name or as Admin using different URLs

I can login to our club site under my name or as admin just by visiting one URL vs another.

This technique works if you have an alias setup for your club. Screenshot of our alias setting is below.

In our case our alias is 'tott' so both 2555.toastmastersclubs.org and tott.toastmastersclubs.org get you to our site.

If you log into one URL with your personal login and as admin under the other, the site will normally remember you. So getting back in under one login or the other just means visiting the correct URL.


I remember which URL is which using this naming association:

• 2555 is a bit utilitarian so thats my admin login.
• TOTT is more friendly so that's the one I use for my personal login.

When editing I open each URL in separate browser tabs. Makes switching from one to the other a snap.

The success of this may vary depending on your browser version and settings.

And, if you are like me and really prefer using the keyboard instead of the mouse Alt + Tab will toggle you between the two screens.
