Migrating to FTH4

Your club admin received the instructions to update their admin password to access FTH4. (FTH3 admin passwords will NOT work in FTH4). Follow the instructions in the email and use 'Member sign in' in the top right corner to access the Club Admin account.

If you are not sure who the club admin is, in your member account; look at 'Club Officers and Members' > "Club Email addresses". The LAST item in this list is the person who is currently listed as your club admin.

If this is not correct, please complete and submit this form to change your club admin:

Member Downloads missing

We had a download custom folder "Meeting Roles & How To's" which was and is designated as public access. They could be downloaded by the public or our members, logged in or not. However, now when logged to FTH4, the folders labelled PUBLIC are not visible to members when logged in. (Side note: I believe in FTH3 access was controlled at the file level, and doesn't appear to be in FTH4. I'm not sure that's a problem.) More to the point, though, if members are logged in and doing "work" they have to logout to download any of these "How" documents. How do we get around this? It seems like the permission should work as it did previously. What am I missing?

Go into File manager and change it.
Public no log in required, all other ratings require a log in.
They can always click public site at the top.

File manager changed 100%
Public is for the public general information, flyers etc
Members is for the members, yes it requires a log in as most of it is TI copyrighted material
Officers is for just officers
unlisted - good for links on pages where you control the context around the file.

Hi, Brian,
Thanks for the quick response.
These files were made for our roles but there is nothing proprietary nor private- they're just how to do a role. I made them public many years ago so other clubs could use them - I didn't have to send them to people outside the club.
This is a major change.. Why should members have to log out in order to access public files. It appears that now the two ways to make them visible to members who are logged in is to 1) make them private., or 2)  have two folders with identical contents, one public and one private.  Another way of looking at it - if it's public, our members have every right to see it. I struggle to see  situations when I don't want our members to see files when they are logged in.
Thanks again for all your work on this significant upgrade.

Leave them as public, use the collapse function and only the folder header will show,
The members if signed in can still click the public site button and get to the files.
