FTH latency

4 years 1 month ago
#85505
The last few days, I have been experiencing latency of up to 30 to 50 seconds before my club FTH website (6659.toastmastersclubs.org) responds to any attempts to change agenda items. I am using Chrome as a browser and my internet speed is 500 Mbps. There is no latency on any other websites, where response time is almost instantaneous. When I use Firefox, there is no latency issue at all. Any ideas? Is anyone else having this same issue?

I use Chrome and I am also seeing it.   Clearing cookies helps a bit, but the problem comes back.    It also seems to be better when I am not logged in.  (although that could just be because the html "payload" is smaller)  Rest assured that since I use Chrome as my main browser and I am the system developer / code maintainer, it is getting my attention.   I do not have a solution as of yet, but it is "on my radar".

Here is a recent (7/21/2021) article that I found on the topic:
www.thewindowsclub.com/google-chrome-lagging

Thanks for finding the article on the google-chrome-lagging. I reset my Chrome browser to its default settings, which also removed any extensions. The FTH website (6659.toastmastersclubs.org) now responds to clicks as it should and there is no longer a latency issue.
