Unable to get external email to treasurer@club

I have a PayPal account (treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org) which should be sending messages about account activity to treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org  which points to my personal email.
but I get nothing.

Trying to troubleshoot;
- I have NOT indicated I don't want to get external email in my profile.

I tried using a non-member email source (dave@circularnetworks.com)  to send messages to treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org and so far nothing, and no rejection messages either.

Is PayPal on a block list?
Is something else black-holing these messages?
Do I need to setup a custom group to get these messages?

It looks like the MX records in your custom domain account need to be configured. In your admin console click on DNS record lookup of www.merrimack-toastmasters.org . to see which DNS records are configured.

Another way to identify an MX record config issue is by looking at your club's email address list. It shows your club number addresses. e.g. treasurer-508@toastmastersclubs.org not treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org.

Remember, the club number addresses (such as treasurer-508@toastmastersclubs.org) will always work, even when a custom domain or alias is in use.

Not the problem. My DNS settings have been fine for awhile.
I can send mail from my member address to treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org
But non-member origin addresses don't seem to work.
And reading the Admin panel it says this:
These are publicly accessible. Anyone can send email to these email addresses, but each one can be disabled by the respective officer in their member profile.
Is this incorrect?

I forgot to check for returns, it took awhile but I got some errors from my previous attempts:
<treasurer@merrimack-toastmasters.org>: host
mail.merrimack-toastmasters.org[50.19.253.65] refused to talk to me: 421
Downstream server error

and without a private domain:
<treasurer-508@toastmastersclubs.org>: host
mail.toastmastersclubs.org[50.19.253.65] refused to talk to me: 421
Downstream server error

Ideas?

Please try sending from your regular email to another officer, and get them to send to your officer address
There might be an issue with your alternate address.  If the test above is successful, we'll be able to confirm and investigate further
