Agenda Export

Dear Admins,

There may be a strong interest among the FTH community for an XML export or RSS feed of the meeting agendas with names of duty holders.

A simple and secure way to get that information is what we need. Our clubs have IT professionals that will package the information in our print productions, digital kiosks, and external club websites. We can service our members to the best of our abilities without jeopardizing the FTH server.

I sincerely hope you will incorporate some sort of data export (RSS, sFTP, etc.) into the forthcoming agenda revision.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

This really comes down to how many clubs/people would benefit from it.

Your assessment of "benefit" may not agree with mine... In order for any one to benefit from an RSS feed, they have to first understand what the heck it is. We try to focus on features and functionality that are easy to understand and use for even non-techie users.

It doesn't have to be RSS - just any type of Export such as the CSV request from another thread:

support.toastmastersclubs.org/7-improvem...v-extract-of-agendas

If you'd push out a survey, I'm sure you'll find a sizable interest in exporting Agenda signup into custom print production and digital displays.

As a matter a fact, several people tried and were rebuked for using custom JavaScripts to get at this information.

Thank you for considering.

I have seen this request many times in clubs for exported agendas. I would like a template export at the least.

Being an IT guy and a member of several clubs, I feel this method of Agendas you have devised on Toasthost is the best solution. We have worked hard to get our Agenda's like they are, and feel strongly about our design. To start from scratch each time, when I help , start, or convert clubs seems unnecessary.

I agree with Ted about each agenda.. I understand Ted is talking about each agenda, and I am talking about the agenda template.

This can be XML, CSV, Text or whatever suits you guys to transport templates.

If there is a way I have not seen it.

Thanks..

I agree with Popashack. I train officers on how to use FTH. When I show them the contest, open house, and speakathon agenda templates our club spent a lot of time developing they ask if they can get a copy, but alas there's no way to export/import the template. Is this a feature under consideration?
