Adding text between generated header on printed TM layout
7 years 3 weeks ago - 7 years 3 weeks ago
I'm trying to do 2 things:
1) Add text to show "Meeting theme" and "WOTD (Word of the day)"
2) Find a way to add WOTD in generated left hand side gutter
Part 1
I see that the generated printed document is different if you choose FTH vs TM formats.
In addition, I found the section for Agenda editing mode, under Meeting Description, that allows me to edit changes images and text. These text changes show when I print agenda as "FTH standard", but don't show when I print as "TM Layout".
Am I forgetting something?
Part 2
I'd also like to use some space on left hand side gutter under the Club mission text,"Club Mission We provide a supportive....".
Thank you.

- Can that area be referenced to insert additional text?
- Is there a web-based variable that can set set to a string?
Thank you.

Thank you Brian for touching base on these two issues.
I'm assuming that neither one is possible since it's being moved to Suggestion forum.
I was hoping that at least Part #1 was possible for TM layout and adding extra text near the top.

I am also looking for a way to put a meeting theme somewhere near the top of the agenda.
Putting the text in the Meeting Description field in the TI format would probably be a good solution.
I would be fine, and would probably prefer, putting it under the blue box heading (and above "Meeting Agenda").
We also like to use space across the entire bottom of the page to put ballot slips for Best Table Topics, Best Speaker, and Best Evaluator.
It would be nice to have an option to do that, but maybe not critical.

Jumping in here...
On the new TM Print Layout, there was not a good way to "fit" the Meeting Description in that looked good to me, so I left it out of the layout.
However, I am starting to realize that many of you want that, and you could probably size the text to fit in the more limited space.
So... you should expect to see a new Print Option called "Include Meeting Description" in the next few months or so (my spare time permitting) that will allow you to include it (or omit it) in *either* of the available layouts.
Also, I am planning to eventually do a "Hybrid Layout" that will include the best features of the FTH Standard Layout and the TM Layout. (sort of a "mash-up")
