You are both correct, I have set the custom pages as unlisted.

I chose to set the access to the page that contain the links to preview the changes to Members only as I welcome any comments on the changes from Members, after all it is their Club Website.

Some good support here by the looks of it, just hope I don't wear out my welcome with questions. It's a bit of change from WordPress where I can just jump into the back end and build or modify what I want. I'm also wary here because there will be other Webmasters that follow me and I don't want to make things difficult for them.
