Membership Management - Deleted Members Still Getting "Members" E-mails

Hi All - I manage Club 4370's web site (Flagship Speakers) and have properly (I think) been managing the members via Membership Management. In any case, people who I have removed completely (not even marking them as "Former member") are still getting sent e-mails when I use our "members" distribution list. Our members distribution is "members@flagshipspeakers.com" if that helps. Would appreciate any help on this to cut down on the "whiy am I still getting e-mails" e-mails from people who no longer attend our club!

If someone can help with this topic, could you simultaneously check into the other lists, such as "guests@flasghipspeakers.com" because I don't belive that distrib list was working correctly either.

Thanks for any help/suggestions you can provide.

Please provide specifics of email addresses who are getting emails that are no longer on your list.

What do you mean the guest list is not working, specifics please.

Hi Brian. Here is an example of one. I confirmed it with her last week by sending an e-mail to members@flagshipspeakers.com and she received it even though her name is eliminated from the Member Management area:

Susan.Dustin@aa.com

Thanks for your help.

Regardimg the "guests" e-mail problem, is it possible for you to send me a list of which e-mail addresses are covered by "guests@flagshipspeakers.com"? That would help me debug it.

The list of email in the guest list is in the admin console > Member Management they all end in [guest]

I scanned the database and there is not email address Susan.Dustin@aa.com not sure where she got the email from.

If it happens again ask for the email header so we can see where the email actually came from.

Brian, for Sue, I explicitly sent an e-mail to "members@flagshipspeakers.com" after making SURE she was removed entirely from the membership management area. She still replied showing she got the e-mail. There is no reason she should have seen it, and that is the reason I asked for help here. Thanks!

Per Brian: "If it happens again ask for the email header so we can see where the email actually came from. "

Someone in your club may have a forwarding rule in place that is forwarding email to the deleted member.

If we had the email header as Brian notes, we could inspect that to see if there is some forwarding going on. If you do not know what the email header is or how to get it, let us know that.

Please help us help you.
