Paypal email friendly button

11 years 8 months ago
#39145
When I go through the steps under the "Paypal email friendly button" article on PayPal, I only see the website code. For me, there is no email tab. Therefore, I have not been able to find the code for email inclusion in invoices beginning with https: ...I only see the code that starts with <form.

How do you get PayPal to show you the email code to embed in your Treasurer Invoices?

Thanks & Regards,

Wes Rogers

I just did it on my personal paypal account and it shows the email tab after you create the button

My Account > profile > myselling tools > paypal button get started > Buy now > fill in amounts > use secure merchant ID > create button >
Click on the email tab in the middle of the page.
Thank you,

Thanks for the reply, Brian.

Our club has a business PayPal account as a non-profit organization with its own EIN must. On this PayPal account there is no email tab after the create button. I did do:
My Account > profile > myselling tools > paypal button get started > Buy now > fill in amounts > use secure merchant ID > create button >
and see the website tab matching the article's example along with the copy script starting with "<form..." but no email tab at the top and hence no email copy/paste text starting with "https:...". I wonder if I can construct one using the example in the article even though PayPal doesn't create one in my club's PayPal account.

Perhaps this is a question for PayPal support on the difference between a personal account and a business account or if there is a setting somewhere to reveal the email tab.

Regards,
~ Wes

I just used my business account

My Account > profile > myselling tools > paypal button > create new button > Buy Now > enter amounts > use my secure merchant > create button > and the email tab is there.
Thank you,

Brian & All,

Seeing that your experience with the email tab was different than mine, I experimented to find out why there was a difference. The first times, I had added a text field when creating the button. After creating another button without the text field, the email tab showed up.

Problem solved. Thanks again for your feedback.

Regards,

Wes
