CASL Signup For E-mail

With the recent enforcement of CASL, I am wondering if there are plans to add a "sign-up for e-mails" tab for each club once a member logs in ?

The corresponding e-mails a member receives will have at the bottom of every e-mail a UNSUBSCRIBE button.

I think the FTH template should have this addition made.

Any registered member can already log in once authenticated and remove their address or change the email address. Doesn't that make it compliant? Guests and former members have an opt out link.

All toastmasters members by providing and signing the Toastmasters Application for have already given permission for their information to be used by Toastmasters International and its members. Please read the Member Agreement and Release on the back of the membership form.

Also this requirement is for Canada only. FTH supplies websites to clubs around the world.

If you feel the release is not enough then it is up to your club to have a separate waver signed by all members and guest before you enter their information in to the club website.
