Backup recovery failed

I tried to change the photo of our club members on our website. When I tried to save the new page, it declared that there were too many characters and promptly deleted the entire page that we were using. I se3ached this site and followed the instructions for downloading a Google cached page.When I tried to restore this page, copy attached), it became a page with an infinite loop og loading the content. How do I restoore what I had so that I can reduce the resolution of the photo that I want to upload to update the page.

I see your "loop". I can't access your site either. Are you still on the site as admin? If so can you delete the image?

I suspect Brian or Steve will have to sort your home page out for you. Your other pages are still working.

Yes I am still the admin, but can't do anything with the page because I can't load it in order to access the admin console to make changes

Sorry I can't help you, you will have to wait until Brian or Steve can sort something out for you. Make sure you keep your content from Google cache available in case you need it.

A few thoughts: What browser and operating system are you using? What size was the image you uploaded? Had you added any text before you loaded the image? I only saw about three lines in the cache. I'm looking for clues as to what might have caused the problem, so that we can prevent it from happening to others in future. Thanks.

Colin/Pam: The trick to accessing the website in cases like this is to directly access a page that is not the page with the issue.

morningchallengers.toastmastersclubs.org/directions.html will work because it is not the page with the issue. Once on this page, the admin console can be accessed, and the issue can be resolved.

Once you log in, you may be directed back to the home page. Just keep going directly back to a page without the issue to access the home page. type in the direct address.
