I created 3 test agendas, dated Feb. 11, 12, 13. Tonight, as Admin, I saved the notification for "3" meetings. I see that you have confirmed that "3" is saved but still displays as "1" - to be fixed, I presume.
Anyway,
Feb. 11 - I am the assigned TM
I logged in as a Member, Jim, using my admin password. I Dropped Jim as General Evaluator and Signed up for Grammarian.
No email came to me (the TM).
Feb. 12 - I was the assigned TM
I logged in as a Member, Jim, using my admin password. I Signed up Jim as Grammarian.
No email came to me (the TM).
Feb. 13 - on a hunch, I created a new member - Doug Tester, using my .com email address. That is, I have 2 email addresses, one with a .ca ending and one with a .com ending.
I assigned Doug Tester as TM.
I logged in as a Member, Doug Hartman, using my regular password and I Signed up as General Evaluator.
Immediately thereafter, an email came to Doug Tester (the TM) that is, to my .com email address. = Some Success!
Feb. 12 - I went back to the Feb. 12 agenda and changed the TM to Doug Tester.
Immediately thereafter, an email came to Doug Tester (the TM) that is, to my .com email address, stating there was a new TM.
I logged in as a Member, Doug Hartman, using my regular password and I Signed up as Timer.
Immediately thereafter, an email came to Doug Tester (the TM) that is, to my .com email address - new Timer!
I then Dropped the role of Timer while still on that agenda - the proper email came to Doug Tester.
My suspicion - the function works as intended and the email is being generated.
However, it may not be getting created or may not be getting sent successfully for some types of email addresses.
Why do I suspect?
The emails came to my yahoo.com address but not my shaw.ca address.
The tests that I did with my club in Canada - #4966 were also without success. For example, our President, with a shaw.ca email address, also received no emails.
A few years ago, when I made a purchase at Ticketmaster.com (Toast, Ticket...so many masters out there:)).
I did not receive my tickets by email. We learned that it could not be successfully sent from the Ticketmaster.com site to my .ca email address.
.ca is commonly used in Canada.
I then opened a new email address at yahoo.com.
Ticketmaster.com was able to send my tickets successfully. I don't know if they ever improved that situation.
Perhaps we have a similar situation.
