Please help! As many years as I have been a webmaster, one would think I know more about links. I have never created a link to a specific word/words on a page, in fact, I don't know how to link one page to another.
I am trying to link a Custom Web Page to the words MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA REQUIRED on my Home page. I also need instruction on linking a Custom Page to a created page under the Public navigation sidebar.
Please give me some instructions or tell me where to go to get the instruction I need.
Thank you so very much.
Sincerely,
Karen Platts, DTM

To link a custom page to words on another page you need the URL of the page you are trying to link to. To get that just open the page and copy the URL (that's the address in as shown in the address bar at the top).
Now go to the words in the page you are editing and select them (as if to make them bold or change the font). While you have them selected click on the icon that looks like a chain with a little green "+" symbol. That will open up a dialog box . It should open on the "Link Info" tab with the link type showing as URL (change to that if necessary). All you need to do is paste the URL you copied into the URL box, click OK and then save.
To remove the link, select the words that are linked and click on the chain icon with a "-" sign.
To create a page that opens another site when the menu item is clicked, follow the documentation here: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/links-to-other-sites

has instructions on creating links.
To link to another page, use the Web Page Name of the destination page when you're asked for the URL.
To be able to link to a specific piece of text you first need to create an anchor. There are instructions on how to do this further down the page.
