However, when I attempt to send emails to the members through the agenda, FTH flips me to the aol account which has not yet been closed. When I send emails to the club members or to the club officers, I am also sent back to the old email address and then get a response from FTH telling me that I do not have permissions to send emails from rwmjgypsi2@aol.com and that the email does not exist.

What exactly do you mean by "FTH flips me to the aol account "? We only send email to the email addresses that are in the system via Membership Management (& your member profile 2nd address), admin email address, and the club archive email address. If you are getting email at an address that is not in the system, I am inclined to ask about any forwarding rules you may have put in place for any of those email addresses. (e.g., email forwarded from one of those addresses to your aol account.)

Steve,

I'm sorry I am not making myself clear. When I attempt to send an email to the club members or to the club officers, I receive an email screen that indicates I am sending the email from my old email address, rwmjgypsi2@aol.com. The email does not go through because that is no longer a valid account. I receive the following response from FTH: "You do not have the right permissions to send an email to the email address (members-6820@toastmastersclub.org) from rwmjgypsi2@aol.com. Be sure your "From" address in your email client is the sa,e as your address in your ToastmastersClubs.org member profile." That is a true statement because the email address is no longer an active one; however, that is where something in the FTH system sends me. I have verified the email addresses on my member profile on the Toastmasters web site as well as my personal profile on each of the club web sites that I use. They reflect my email address as twogypsies1@gmail.com which is the correct address. I have not listed a default email address because I plan on canceling my AOL account as soon as I can. If the old address is archived somewhere in one of the accounts, I can't find it. If forwarding rules have been put in place, I don't know how or when they were.

making sure it's right on your profile is DIFFERENT from having the site admin make it right on the membership management in the admin console. fyi

Peggy,

Try doing a test send, but put {{savein, trace}} at the very beginning of the subject. That will toggle some diagnostic tools for the email system. It will capture a copy of the raw email (including headers) as received by the system... then I can take a look at it and see if anything looks off.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have checked the member management section--in three of the four clubs I belong to, I have access to that part of the console and am the site admin for the fourth club -- also with access.
