The Karma level for the customer service I have received in trying to resolve this issue has hit rock bottom.

I am the current system developer, and between Brian and I, we have a pretty clear idea of the technical details of how the system works. Also, the FreeToastHost Ambassadors contribute a wealth of expertise and extensive experience using the system. We may be surprised occasionally, and there may be some occasional bugs that have slipped past our attention. I understand that.
However, lets get clear about some things. We are all Toastmasters members and we all work as volunteers on this system (me, too) and contribute some of our spare time. We all could be doing something else, but we choose to do this because each of us has benefitted from the system and we basically believe in keeping it available for Toastmasters clubs and districts.
I am sorry that this is not going as well as you would like. Believe me, I am pretty certain that each of us wishes we could solve your issue for you.
In addition, these support forums are a separate system, on purpose. They are not linked to the website system, so even if there is an issue with the website system, you can hopefully post a support request. We are also not able to fetch any member information from the TI website. (only publically available info such as meeting info)
I do not know why you are having an issue with your gmail account. (I use gmail myself.) We are not computer repair technicians... none of us are. I wish I could tell you how to resolve your gmail issue, but frankly I just do not know, and our focus is on FreeToastHost, not gmail issues.
I have pretty much conclusively shown you that what the system is seeing is an email coming from AOL, not gmail. The system is not changing that email...What I showed you is what was received. I wish I knew why... I do not. However, I am pretty clear it is not a FreeToastHost issue, as much as you might like to try to make it out as one.
As a last ditch attempt to get some fresh insight, I did a google search on sending gmail from a different email address and came up with the gmail "Send mail as" option. (I did not have to do that.) I am wondering if it is involved somehow, since it would only affect sending, not receiving email:

It would be nice if you could confirm that, so that we can close out this thread.

i talked with the folks who installed the software on my computer and have decided to take the computer into them next week to have them see if there is a glitch in the system that is blocking the emails and rerouting them to AOL.
The situation has not changed but it doesn't sound as though there is anything that can be done from your side. I will proceed with the plan to have my computer checked out as you indicated the problem is not from your side. I appreciate the work you have done.
