Mentor/Mentee Email Not Currently Working

I have tried this several time now. Under Member Management and Membership Tools I select the Assign Member Mentor(s) and no matter how many times I clear and save and then select the Mentor for a member no email is sent. I have used myself as the Mentor and Mentee for several people and have not received any emails. I also do not see any emails in our archive email inbox. I know that this worked a month or two ago.
