trouble loading photo on our website

Hi there,
I have been having trouble getting a photo to load on our NAUToastmasters website. A question mark shows up. I have tried both pasting it directly and using the paste icon where the box opens up. It shows up and then when I reload the page, the question mark appears.
Thanks!
Amanda

Assuming you are using Windows...

Your ability to successfully copy and paste images is highly dependent on where you copied the image from and which browser you are using. This is because Windows treats the image differently depending on where it came from... some browsers correctly convert the image to the proper file (like Firefox does)... some do not. For example, if you copy an image from the desktop, Windows tries to convert it into a shortcut when you paste it into browsers. This is a Windows/browser dependency and is not something I can do anything about.

In some cases, you may be able to properly paste the image into the editor using Ctrl-V, the native keyboard based paste method.

What does work consistently:

1. The upload method that Pam mentions.

2. Loading the image into a picture editor (e.g. MS Paint) and copy pasting it into the editor from there.

3. Dragging and dropping the file into the editor. Dragging and dropping is more reliable than copying and pasting.
