Trouble in changing admin from one member to another

Our former admin person has attempted to change the admin to my name and he does not want to receive emails through our club web site anymore and they should be coming to my name as new admin. However, emails sent through our club web site still goes to the person who was the admin, I do not receive those emails eventhough I am the new admin person.

Should we just re-do "changing admin" or what should we do ?
