Admin console - membership management problem

We have a new member Jeffrey, who has been added recently. Nobody at our club has been using an email with the name. However when I try to add his email address the page shows an error stating the email address is used by another member. Please advice.

He is already on your club's guest list. That is the issue--you have him entered twice, on different lists. I admit that the error message does not tell you that, but I am not sure how the code could tell that it is the same person on a different contact list. (Maybe via name comparison, but names are sometimes entered differently, also.)
