My name is Andrew and I’m involved with the unchartered Lincoln (UK) club 5168217. We have now assigned our custom domain www.lincolnshirespeakers.co.uk to the toasthost website and it seems to be functioning fine.

Today I have tried to send an email to members using the designated domain address, but it failed and toasthost responded with:

You do not have the right permissions to send an e-mail to this e-mail address (address undisclosed because this is a public forum)) from "email undisclosed" . Be sure your "From" address in your e-mail client is the same as your address in your ToastmastersClubs.org member profile.

This is despite my details being entered as a member on our website correctly using the related email address. Given that the autoresponse refers to ToastmastersClubs.org it’s worth mentioning that I do have an old account on there that does not recognise my present membership (presumably because we’re unchartered?). I wondered whether this needs removing in order for the email alias to work correctly? - And if so, how?

I would appreciate any advise on how I can proceed because I don’t understand where I’m supposed to go from here or who I am supposed to contact. Thank you.

Your DNS settings are not entirely correct for mail.

Add the following "A record" to your dns settings:

mail.lincolnshirespeakers.co.uk A 50.19.253.65

Your domain provider currently will not know where to route email.

Refer to the following for more details: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/dns-settings-overview
