The error has rendered all our basic email templates inaccessible, which is a bummer because we love using them!

Please advise best course of action.
Thanks in advance,

Basically, you filled up the allotted space for email templates in the database, and corrupted one of the saved items as a result (one for each club) . That is why you are getting the error message.
I have to say that I never expected someone to use up the space allotment for this.

At this point, I will make it so that you can load them, but you will have to wait a bit to edit, so you do not blow through the allocation again.
I need to sort out whether I want to increase the allocation or force clubs to get rid of old templates. In your case, from what I have seen, I am not particularly convinced that you are going to re-use these "templates" in the future, so I am not immediately inclined to want to increase the allocation as that would have other impacts to our database. (but I can be convinced otherwise)

They are instructions that I am constantly resending. I can pare them down if needed but it is very convenient to resend from agenda or send to multiple recipients.
How many email templates can I save?

It is not a matter of number of templates, it is a matter of the overall size of all of them combined. They are all saved as one "chunk" of data along with their titles (and any other properties) in the database. So you could save a few very large ones or a lot of very small ones. The combined size of all the data for all the templates for a particular club cannot exceed 65530 bytes. The editor does keep track of characters in the bottom right.
At this point you can load what is left, but I am going to have to do something for the system as a whole to prevent future problems with this. As you say, you like the email templates feature, so maybe other people do also. We could have the same issue occurring with other clubs. No good feature goes unpunished, I guess...

Let me do a review of whether other clubs are getting close to using up their space allocation, also. If so, I may just take the easy way out and bump up the allocation for email templates. If I don't do that, I will still have to put some sort of warning in the JavaScript to tell you that you are over the limit. (I will likely put that warning in.)
