I am unable to change a club members email address. I was adding a new member and I noticed that an existing member has the same Primary email as the Club President secondary email. Not sure how this happened. Below are the steps that I did to change the member's primary email. If I try to put the email in the secondary space I get the same results. The only thing that I was able to do was to change the existing member's email to a made up email and it changed. However, after closing the site and logging back in and repeating the below steps to change the email to the correct email I get the same results.
- Launch admin console
- Select Membership Management from the Select a Module: at the top of the screen.
- Select the box next to the member's name
- Select the forward arrow at the end of their line.
- New window pops up
- Change their primary email to the most current email.
- Click the save button
- Receive a notification at the top of the screen "The Primary e-mail address is already being sued by another member in this club."
- Look through the other members to make sure email address hasn't been accidentally entered into the wrong profile.
- The email does not exist in any of the other profiles
- Repeat Step 6 & 7
- After it fails again I click on close and I am asked if I want to save the changes I select Yes, however, the new email address doesn't save.
This only happens with existing members and I need to change their email. What is the fix for this issue?
