HI Guys, I am Wellington (NZ) Toastmasters VP / Education, Daniel Malpass and am part of a newly elected committee that has just inherited our website, it hasn't been updated or used for a long time and we are not sure when it was last meaningfully updated or monitored and who was then responsible for it, so we find ourselves with little institutional or passed on knowledge of the site.,
One of our first surprises was to find out our domain name was expired.
Got the below message
"NOTE: We were unable to create / renew a HTTPS certificate for your custom domain:
www.wellingtontoastmasters.co.nz
This means that you will not be able to access your website using https:// after any existing
certificates expire.
Possible causes may include:
a. Your DNS records are set up incorrectly.
b. You are using domain forwarding--it is *not* supported.
c. Your custom domain has expired.
d. The custom domain listed in the admin console is no longer being used.
You may also access your website via
1046.toastmastersclubs.org
You can check your custom domain's expiration date using:
who.is/whois/www.wellingtontoastmasters.co.nz
"
Anyway
I'm not sure who controls or who attached the domain name
www.wellingtontoastmasters.co.nz
to our site
1046.toastmastersclubs.org
whether it was someone at Toastmasters International or ourselves, and despite my efforts and investigations I am unable to tell why it has expired and what I can do to resurrect it, or reattach it to our site
, if anyone has any ideas, knows what is going on, or knows how I can contact Steve James, DTM FreeToastHost System Developer
I'd be grateful if you let me know
thanks very much, Daniel Malpass
